pursuit
pəˈsjuːt/
noun
1. 1.
the action of pursuing someone or something.
"the cat crouched in the grass in pursuit of a bird"
synonym chasing, pursuing, stalking, tracking, trailing, shadowing, dogging, hounding;
I have always had this feeling of an endless pursuit deep inside of me. Always tingling, itching, calling and making me get out of my comfort zone to pursuit it. Sometimes it’s louder, sometimes it’s super silent, but it’s always here.
At times it is a blessing, but at times it is also a big burden. It wants a lot, it’s hungry, and it needs to be heard. Still, I consider it to be my best friend. Actually, I have learned that it’s my best friend. It’s making me push harder, It’s making me feel alive. Life isn’t always easy, and chasing your dreams is even harder. When I feel good, when I feel inspired and confident – I dance with that voice of pursuit. But when I feel down, when I’m insecure, or when I just don’t feel like getting out of bed – I try not to hear that voice. I try to ignore it as I put a pillow over my ears and wishes, and I try to go along with excuses. But that is when I need it the most. As I’m growing up and learning about myself and the world in general, I’m also learning to make it loud when I really want to be as quite as possible. That is when I love myself for not falling into my comfort zone no matter how tempting it is. The most dangerous game is to play it safe. Life is a playground and I want to take risks. So thank you voice for being my best coach.
Sincerely yours,
Killah.
