unfeeltred

Is there beauty without a filter in a "double tap" world we live in? Does real equals ugly, and fake equals beautuful? Or vice versa? Living in a world where aesthetic standards have become unreal, unreal like we are when we apply an airbrushing filter all over our faces, to change our skin surface and our inner imperfections, trying to find the brightest light to higlight our best features, or just light the empty darkness inside of us, caused by the hungry beauty standards and pressure to look perfect and deliver a perfect lifestyle. Just like we do on Instagram. After realizing that I've become pressured to look perfect all the time myself, I got sick of all the fakeness, insecurities and standards I've put up for my self, and society has put up for me, and all of us. I decided to free myself, to take my make up off, to let my hair dry on its own, to wear no bra and to show my true self in order to be free from pressure. I needed to take my mask off, and dance with my imperfections. It felt so free to be me, just as I am. I chose to feel rather than to fil(ter), and I felt more fed and furfilled getting likes for my flaws than any number of likes for fake perfection can feed you. I liked myself as I am. As we all should.
